Acrylic Glass Tube

MICRO Variable area flow meters (Rotameters) work on the principle of Variable Area. The float moves up and down in the tapered borosilicate glass/Acrylic tube with fluid flow from bottom to top. The float takes up a position where buoyancy forces and the float weight are balanced in propor-tion to the flow rate. The vertical position on the float as indicated by scale is the measure of the instantaneous flow rate. The Acrylic body flow meters are useful for measuring flow of air, common gases, water and many organic chemicals, excluding petroleum product while glass tube flow meters can be used for oil and petroleum products. The typical applications include purging of gas lines, anaesthesia, laboratory instruments, leak detection, cable pres-surization, industrial furnaces, chromatography, water treatments plants etc.
